I randomly get the P0171 - Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 1 obdII code in my 97 LT.

This code comes and goes... the check engine light can be lit 1 day then the next while driving it lights down...


I didnt understand much of the information about it..

What should I do about it?
Can I do something with almost 0 knowledge about cars or should i take it to a mechanic for this problem?

I mean... since it comes on then fixes itself...

maybe its this damn cold that makes something malfunction...

Will there be any damage done if i dont get this fixed asap or is it just a miss mixture of fuel and air?
