p0300 help!!
Ok so I've been searching this site for 2 weeks now looking for a solution to this code. I have a 2000 Chevy blazer 4x4. All I have done was a complete tune. I was going to do more but i noticed that every time I start my blazer (I have to jump it since it has a bad battery) it runs smooth. But when I give it throttle and it idles down it throws the code and idles around 1000rpm. Could this just be a bad computer? I don't want to fix everything it 'could' be and waste money. Can anyone help me out?

What brand of parts did you use for your tune up?
How did the old plugs look? If you do not have the ability to do a live scan, watching the sensor values, you may need to bite the bullet and take it to someone that does and has the experience to properly diagnose the problem. |

Do you have the plug wires routed correctly? On the driver side, the posts on the distributor are 3-1-5, not 1-3-5.

Yes i have them plugged in the right spot. Also the misfire seems to go away after i rev it to 2000 rpm

I would test compression & leakdown on all 6 cylinders and compare. Sounds like you might have a problem between #1 & #3.
Did the old plugs from #1 & #3 look worse than the other 4? |

To run a compression test, you first need a compression test gauge (pressure gauge with the appropriate adapters to thread into the spark plug hole).
A leak down test is more complicated and requires a shop air supply. You can find more details for both through Google as there is nothing about these tests that is specific to the Blazer. |
ummmmmmmmmm is 1 not the driver side , TDC is always 1 first plug on the driver side.
