Default Passenger Window Switch/motor

The problem: Sometimes when the passenger window is used with the passenger switch, it'll go all the way down by it's self, and then it won't work for awhile. Once it starts working i use the drivers side switch to use the passenger window, and it never messes up. What's the deal? Correct me if i'm wrong but i think it's the passenger switch itself because when you push the switch down, for some reason it thinks it's still going down when you let go of the switch, and that trips the breaker, and doesn't reset for awhile. That's why it doesn't mess up when i use the drivers side switch for the passenger window.

not sure the year, make, model of yours but...I had the same situation the other day and was able to steal the switch off another 2001 2 door and whola...that was it. Then ordered a new switch from GM. Fixed. But, again, if I understand correctly, mine(hopefully as well as yours) worked fine from the drivers side switch but not so well from the passenger side. Good luck JP PS you should be able to jumper the wires to verify this point but...in my case it was much easier and cost effective to go about it the way I did!

Yeah, sounds like the switch is bad in the passenger door, basically sticking in the down position and not coming back to neutral (on the switch). This will result in the motor going all the way down, then tripping the circuit breaker on the motor. The interuption in power draw may be enough to reset the switch, then have it work once the circuit breaker cools and resets.
