Default quad beam relay question

I know there is a ton of info about quad beams so I apologize if this is redundant. For some reason I am struggling to wrap my brain around this simple mod.

maybe I need a extra dumbed down layman explanation of what is going on with the relay. what gauge wiring is used for each pin on the relay?

also, after installing a relay for the quad beam, is the new relay powering the high beams or low beams or something? I don't know why such a simple thing is so confusing to me, I have a tendency to overthink things like this and try to have a greater understanding that necessary. I could just follow the instructions I have found in millions of places and install it, but I really like to know what is going on. Also, nobody tells me what gauge of wiring is necessary. If the relay is powering left and right low-beams at the same time, then what gauge wire do I need. sorry if this is a stupid question

Wiring schematics are different year to year, and model to model, and ZR2 has it's own schematic. High beam, low beam, flash to pass, auto lamp, and daytime running lights are all controlled through the BCM, headlight switch, and the multifunction switch. All 4 headlight grounds are separately isolated and are switched in the multifunction switch. When you have 5 different functions controlling the headlights, the circuitry gets complex. Find a "How to", and follow the instructions, but keep in mind that it might not work on all years and models.

Rule of thumb with wiring and relays: don't ever go smaller than factory wiring.
