Question about spider assembly
I replaced the spider ***'y in my Blazer today. But, I ran into a small problem with one of the "holes" that the fuel lines connect to. It was missing the black plastic guide above the o-ring. While trying to remove the guide from the old spider ***'y, it split down one side. Being that it's only a guide to keep the fuel line positioned in the center, would it be ok to still use it? Apparently, you can't get them from the dealership. TIA!

so I'm ready to set this **** on fire and watch it burn to the ground. The fuel lines are killing me. First, I couldn't get them attached to the spider assembly, so I broke them loose at the firewall. Now I can't get them connected at the firewall. WTF!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Anyone got any pointers to make this go a little smoother? I've already thrown a ratchet in the woods this morning. Not looking forward to going back out there. Thanks....

Well I think I just toasted the bearings.....friggin great. I didn't change the oil before I started it back up and there was a harsh nocking sound. I shut it down immediately and drained the oil. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugggggggggggggggggkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

Sounds to me like you dropped some smitnik down one of the intake holes when you had the top of the intake off. pull the plugs and see which one is nasty that will be the one. then it's time to pull the head and find a replacement. Parts is Parts. All it is is time. If your wrenching your riding. If your setting with your finger up your nose your walking. Get wrenching
