Default Question on front differential

I have a 4WD 1996 4dr LS. Just went to see a 98 LS that someone is parting out. He will sell me the entire front end, Rotor to Rotor for $ 50

Someone already did me the favor of removing the engine and entire front clip of the truck. He showed me receipts where he replaced all the ball joints in Jan 09 with new Moog ones and they are Moogs on there.

My main interest is the front differential. Will it fit my 96? Nothing wrong with mine but I figured for 50 dollars its a good thing to have along with the new ball joints. I toy around a lot and figured I would just rebuild the diff and then throw it in my truck. Both are automatics also these are Arizona Blazers, mine and his, not one spot of rust anywhere on his front end parts, dusty but no rust.

Thanks

The only difference, I believe, may be the way the CV's attach to the diff. Older ones have flanges where as newer ones are splined. Not sure of the year they changed, though.
