rag joint change
anyone change their rag joint to get their steering wheel slightly off after? I changed mine today and after the steering wheel is turned slight turned to the right, like maybe 15-20 degrees or so when going straight.... any ideas? I know I put the shaft back on correctly.... maybe it was just that bad that it seemed straight but was just the play in the joint.

Hmmm. Yea,other then maybe steering box,id say its the rag. Hows the control arm bushings lookin? Some people bypass that.
Check out "jeep steering shaft blazer 2nd gen" on google. You can swap out to a solid shaft. aka no more rag joint.

they'rs $72.99 on amazon with free ship... i don't have that cash to throw around, so i went with the rag replace instead. I didn't do anything else other then ball joints last year and just had it checked for alignment, all is well and steering slop is nearly all gone, so I'm gonna assume it was the worn rag joint that was causing the slop and when replaced it made the wheel crooked by a bit.
