Default Raw Gas Smell

I have this raw gas smell coming from the top of the engine in the area behind the throttle body. Any ideas what it could be??? a gasket maybe? The guy who change the FPS didn't change the gasket because he said it still "looked good". BTW it doesn't smell all the time there's days where I smell it all day though. like yesterday it smelled all day and this morning I didn't smell anything.

So I found where my mystery leak was coming from. It is plastic fuel line that is bent/pinched. This line connects 2 steel lines together. It is pinched directly on the end where it connects to one of the steel lines. The only reason I found it is because I heard a hissing sound when I got to work. Originally I thought it was an air leak on my tire, but I followed the sound and found the leak. Oh yeah to make matters worse it was leaking on to the exhaust. Talk about irronic if my baby would havecaught fire, then I would really be BLAZIN1!!! I hope i find a replacement line at the Junk Yard.

Does anyone know if any other GM vehicle might have the same plastic lines I know S10, Sonoma, Jimmy, Bravada, but any other one??? The reason being isat my local Junkyards the ones I mentioned are "rare". If there is any of these it's usually just the shells.

I would imagine a Silverado with the 4.3 would have the same set-up, but they will probably be harder than even the S10's to find.

Yeah you're right, the funny thing though is that they have ALL these vehicles at the Parts Recycle Place (Parts Planet) here in town but they wont sell thefuel lines!!! I dont see why not, they sell everything else!!! The Junk Yard on the other hand won't sell any emission stuff like mufflers, cats, etc.,but they sell fuel lines. I bet it's jus a California thing. I thinksit's bs. I hope I can just repair my ownfuel line, I guess this depends on how bad it really is tomorrow when I take it off. Thanks for the advice rriddle3.
