Default Rear brake caliper options

Howdy,
Since now I've been telling I used to remanufacture the brake calipers and never ever experienced a problem. Well, until now. Today I've smoked my rear driver's side one.
I am browsing the RockAuto offer, but need a word of advice from Your side. As far, as I understand the "reman" ones are not new, but rebuilt in the way I did. I think I'd rather prefer to get the new one. But yet, there are different options, so: which brand would You advice as most reliable?
Thanks! Mike

EDIT:
This is pretty confusing. Some hours later, I get back to the caliper job. I've taken the wheel off and the brake disc is rotating freely. I don't see any obvious reason of the problem. But I am 100% sure of the smell that it were the burning pads.

Could it be that your parking brake shoes got stuck?

I haven't been using parking brake for weeks. Not likely possible.

Thanks for the tip I am going to check. I had to adjust these brake shoes anyway. In my opinion it may got stuck on caliper pins. It was already moving harsh - a little bit of heat metal expansion and that's it.
Eventually remanufacturing option won. I have discovered the new set of caliper seals and boots on my garage shelf. I was missing only the caliper pins, but decided to get a Raybestos set from RockAuto. Delivery scheduled on Friday
Yesterday I collected the caliper back from blasting, so the painting time has come.

It's very common for the slider pins in the rear calipers on these to get moister in them and rust up and not allow the caliper to operate properly, so that could be an issue you're having.

Often when a brake caliper locks up, it only does so when it warms up after being used. When it's cool (or once it cools down after a heat cycle) it'll free up again. My right front did this to me a few months back on my 04. Replace both front calipers (and hoses at the same time) and all has been well since. Mine was seized up and stuck to the point to where I almost didn't get the caliper off the rotor...

Do yourself a favor though, if you replace one caliper in the rear, go ahead and replace both. Remans are not terribly expensive (and there's nothing wrong with going with a professionally reamanned caliper), and when it comes to brakes, it's better to know that it's done and you don't have to worry about them having other issues again soon after...

I would probably replace them for reman ones, but I keep in mind stories of people who had the problem fitting brake pads, etc., so I asked which ones are the quality and trouble free. Hence no answers, I have already ordered the quality caliper pins and I'll fix it myself.

I've seen hoses collapse on the inside and restrict return flow to the master cylinder, which causes the brakes to drag. If your brake hoses are original (or even just pretty old), I would replace them at the same time as the calipers. They're not expensive.

Good news and a bad news. Good news: the parcel has arrived! Bad news: Raybestos caliper pins (country of origin: China).
