Default Rear hatch window strut support broken

1998 Blazer rear hatch window strut support is broken. The part on the window where the top of the strut fastens is broken away from the window. I have no idea how to fix this other than replacing the entire rear hatch window.
Has anyone else ever had this problem and if so what did they do to fix it or at least is there a temporary fix until I can get a new hatch window?

Default

JB Weld and let it dry for a few days before installing the strut.
