Default Rear wiper not working...dash switch and motor issues

99 Blazer and the rear wiper switch on the dash turns on the motor but the motor in the hatch won't turn the wiper arm. It sounds like it's seized up. So today, I turn on the switch from off to low and then to high and back to off and it won't turn off. I moved the switch to everyn position and still won't shut off. I had to pull the fuse to stop it.

Looks like i have 2 problems. 1. The Switch on the dash is acting up and 2. the motor itself either has a bad spindle where the wiper arm connects or the motor is not turning at all.

Id lilke the Costs on these items that you guys have dealt with before and a way to check furhter into these problems.

Thanks!

Hi I just replaced my rear windshield wiper motor a few weeks ago... Before I did dat I used to hit da switch and all I would get was a click.... I guess da internals were bad... But I got a motor frm auto zone for about 73 bucks with a life time warrenty..... Be sure to take da old unit in because there's a core charge.... As for da switch check auto zones web site for prices...

These rear wiper motors are known for the shaft getting rusted and seized. You can pull them apart easily and hopefully wire wheel and clean it up. I did.

I have a few Pics of what you will be seeing when you pull the cover off the wiper motor.

I have a 2000 blazer 4 door and my rear wiper is not working, I pulled the motor out and the shaft was froze up cleaned it up and put back together still don't work. got a wire diagram and started checking that and found the orange wire at the wiper motor has no power and it is supposed to have power at all times. The orange wire comes from the fuse box under the hood on left fender and shows no other connections from there to the wiper motor. How do I check at the fuse box if I'm getting power there? The fuse checks good.
