Question Removed steering shaft and can't get it back on

PLEASE HELP! I removed the steering shaft to get to the #3 plug on my 96 Blazer. It didn't slide off easily, I used a very large screwdriver to slide/pry it off. It was so tight coming off that I'm wondering if the problem is that i cannot get enough leverage to muscle it back on. I put an alignment mark on before I took it off and that seems fine. Should I try to hammer it on with a block of wood? Anyone else had this problem?
Thanks.
Jim

Thumbs up

Thanks, I was able to get my 18 inch pipe/breaker bar on it and hammered it home. Appreciate the help!
