cracked exhaust
ok well I had to replace the Fuel pump on my '95 today so I took it into work so i can abuse err use the lifts and air sources at work plus all my tools are there. anyway after i was done putting the tank back in I happened to take a look at my exhaust and noticed a 2-3 inch crack formng in the tail section behind the muffler on the bend that goes around the rear axle. does anyone know a cheap temporary fix that can hold my tail together until I have time and the money to get it replaced?

If you know someone with a welder than that would be a permanant fix, as for a temp fix they make some exaust tape that will seal it for awhile.

Your favorite soda can of choice and some tight hose clamps. Turn it inside out if you don't want it to look reeeeeal ghetto

Glad to hear you got your fuel pump issue taken care of. I would do some JB Weld, then the exhaust tape and over that I think a beer can would look cooler than a soda can.

lol +1 on the beer can.

If it is just cracked at the seam, you should be able to weld it back up. If it just wants to blow through with the welder, make a patch out of an old section of pipe cut to cover the crack.

its not at a seam its actually in the pipe itself. I took a picture showing most of the crack you you guys have a idea

Oh damn. Cut it off and put a new tail pipe on it.
