Replacing A/C Low Pressure Switch- 2000 Blazer

Default Replacing A/C Low Pressure Switch- 2000 Blazer

Can you replace the switch without replacing the freon? I thought there was a valve that let you replace the switch, but a friend of mine said I would have to recharge the system.

You can replace the low pressure switch with the system charged. There is a check valve in the connection. The high pressure switch is a different story.
