hey guys, my driver doors sagging and im sick of it and need to finally replace the pins and bushings. ive been looking around and havent found a how to on it and to be honest i have no clue lol. anyone have any help?

 

just did mine a couple weeks ago. opened door and proped it up with 5 gallon home depot bucket with 2 x 4 across top of bucket to make it the height I wanted. pried off old "clips" with a screwdriver and pliers. beat out the pins with a hammer and small socket extension. tried to remember how the bushings went in. couldn't remember. googled it on my blackberry and saw a diagram and put new bushings in. Had my buddy help me slide in the door and pushed new pins down in. then put on new "clips". If you google it someone has a better step by step with photos but its pretty simple once you get the old ones out. the bushings aren't very strong though so be careful not to break them tapping them in place. get some extras since their all pretty cheap and you can save the rest for another door down the road. Oh- get the door spring tool from harbor freight tool because youll need it to put your spring back in. $4.99 plus tax but worth it.

 

I used a floor jack and a block of wood to hold the door. Pins go in just like they came out.

im beginning to think the pins arent the problem. on my blaze the part in the white circle is bent towards the front of the truck, and the arm thing in the blue circle is just free and not touching that piece any more.. any ideas?

 

probably got that way from your bushings being worn out. I think that just helps hold the door open.

 

so replacing my pins and bushins will fix the sag even if that craps broke too?
