reverse vibration/shutter from rear end
have 1995 chevy blazer 4.3 auto when you apply a little more gas from a stop like backing up our driveway there is a pretty harsh vibration/shutter just for a second or twothen goes away. can travel in reverse at different speeds without this happening just when there is a call for more tork/power in reverse. no other noises or symptoms normal 1-3 second delay to catch when you put in reverse vehicle has 165,000. any thoughts?? vehicle has not been beat on, pulled some one out of ditch in reverse this winter took abit though.
thanks ahead of time!!

I know you don't want to hear it but it could be signs of trans problems.

My 4T60E(front wheel drive) made the same noise/vibration while in reverse attempting to back into my driveway. After tearing my trans apart, among other problems, found my reverse reaction drum chewed up. I have a pic somewhere around here.

Get under your Blazer immediatly and check for U-jiont slop! I dam near lost my drive shaft down the highway last May,bugger was nearly in 2 pieces & just looking at it still freaks me out if it hit the highway wrong and bounced into the car behind me the wrong and potentially fatal situation, as nothing holds the front section on-just slides out if the rear comes out!
