thank you for the list of things to check, it will be raining here all weekend so I will get back to you next week - this sounds like its turning into a bigger headache than I anticipated but at least it sounds like I am about to learn a lot. lol

I meant the dash indicator for the right turn signal turns on with the horn activation - not sure about the the actual right turn signal bulb - however if I throw on the right turn signal - the bulb blinks but fast - the indicator also seems to click fast compared to the left turn signal

George
When the horn is hooked up normally, the parking light is on - not sure what happens when I activate the horn (need some help from another person to verify) The picture showing the parking light being out was with the paper clips hooked up and the car turned on idling,

The quickest way to perform a successful exorcism of that aftermarket black box is to get a model number so we can see its pin out and wiring color codes.

so you think that mystery black box is the brain box for the alarm system? or is that part of the car? it looks like it has corresponding clips that clip into the removable dash panel so it's not self evident that the box is after market. if that box is not stock i'll take some pictures and try to find a mode number. thanks

I don't recognize the black box so not sure. The extra siren and red button are not factory so I suspect an aftermarket install. Where do the wires from the red button go?
