Default Service engine soon light

I have a 2000 Blazer with an Auto tranny. with 82K miles on it. Today the service engine soon light came on and I notice it won't shift into high gear. It seems to stay in 3rd. Any ideas? I just purchased it about 2 months ago. Thanks.

Stop by an AutoZone, etc. and have the SES code(s) read. Report back in this thread with the findings.

The code is P0753 which is the 1-2 shift solenoid. How hard is this to change myself? All Autozone could tell me is its on the tranny. Any help wold be greatly appreciated. Dave

The solenoid isn't bad to replace. Involves dropping the transmission pan.
