speedometer pegged while parked
98 bravada. this is the least of the trucks worries but its the one problem i really dont know anything about.
#2
Could be a problem with the cluster... Do you have access to a full feature scan tool? My Autoenginuity scanner can command positions of all of the gauges.
#3
i was hoping it isnt the cluster, but hopefully not the computer. i really cant drive it yet to see if it would go away or reset. but yeah we got a obd2 genesis scanner at work that can pretty much do anything
#4
The scanner will also tell you if the VSS is providing the proper information to the PCM. The scanner would be my first stop.
#5
Did you end up fixing the issue? I am having the same issue on my 2002 Blazer, it happen after I replace the water pump and try to start it up
#6
the truck pretty much fixed itself. it had a bunch of other more important issues that needed addressing first, after worked on it for a few weeks i got the engine together, started it up and it was fine. i did have the battery disconnected for a few weeks while i was fixing everything so maybe get lucky and it just needs a battery pull
