Unhappy spider

I took my 2000 blazer to the dealership for a leak was told the intake was leaking so I told them to fix it for $875. Three days later they called and said my car had a miss in it #4, they said the spider was not getting gas to #4 they put in some stuff to clean it out but nothing worked, now 9 days later they want to install a new spider and charged me another $700. Why did the spider get plugged up.

If number 4 was not plugged before they removed the lim they could have disloged crap by moving the hose to 4 around. If they didnt test #4 before hand thats prolly what happened. Their fault. If they did check it beforehand you at least need the redundant labour deducted.

Default Fuel Regulator

The problem with your Spider could likely be the Fuel regulator unit within - attached to the Spider Unit assembly under the MPI Cover.

You could get by with alot less outlay possibly by purchasing only the
Fuel Regulator unit ( Round Cylinder Unit approx. 1 inch in diameter
and 2 in. length ).
General Auto Parts stores can usually special order these type Fuel Regulators, as they are seldom normal stock item.
If I were in your situation I would DIY only this unit first then go ftom there !
