sputtering issue
Just recently I've had a sputtering problem when I try to take off quick. It used to never do that. Yesterday I noticed that my breather hose fell off the air intake and I got it back on there but it still sputters. Any ideas what it could be?

I replaced the factory intake with a spectre intake. I forgot what its called but the thing on the throttle body its got that breather hose coming off of it and that fell off and I put it back on and it helped a little bit

ive had the maf changed about 2yrs ago all the plugs and wire were changed about 4 years ago. thats really it with the mainanece besides oil changes. i havnt got it checked for codes yet i usally just take it to the mechanics and they tell me whats wrong and i fix it myself. but i really cant sacrifice leaving it there atm im to busy with my jobs. But I thought was my transmission at first but it shifts through all the gears fine. no grinding or hard shifts. once i get going i dont have any problems its when i try to take of quick. i live on a busy street so somtimes i got no other choice but to take off.

Every one here I think hate's when I say this but I would take the cap and rotor off and clean the contacts with some emory cloth. If that helps get yourself a new delco cap and rotor, it,s a #20 torx. Plugs and wires should fine at four years unless there is something else going on. You can also unplug the maf and see if that changes anything but do one thing at a time. If no help there fuel delivery should be the next step.
Getting a little ahead. Check your wires, make sure connections are good from cap to plugs, make sure none of the ceramic insulaters are broken on the plugs. Start it in the dark and spray some water around with a mister bottle and see if you see any sparks, there should be none. Good luck, you will get it!
Oh yes you can spray clean the throttle body and when was the last time you changed the air filter.
Sorry kind of working backwards!
