Default squeaking belts

I have been trying to fix this problem for a while my belts are squeaking.I got new belts put on, a new belt tensioner, and had a pulley replaced. Everytime i do something to the blaze the squeaking will go away or be so faint you can barley hear it but the noise always come back. I did just get a new alternator put on so maybe that has something do with the squeaking now? Any ideas on why it keeps squeaking?

couple of questions,,, Does the squeaking go away after it warms up in the eng comp? What kind of belt was put on ( BRAND )? and is there any kind of fluid leak near any of the pullies of any kind? I was having a squeaking on my blazer and i put a gator serpentine belt on mine from autozone and it solved that dilemma..it has a ribbed guide to it..also what State do you live in , maybe theres someone near you that can help you out physically with it, If you lived sumwhat near me i`d come out to help ya out...

o ok so thats not eggzachary near me.. Have you tried spraying a little bit of belt dressing on each pully and then started it? if your not familiar with the belt dressing you can get a can of it at any auto parts store, its usually in a little white can.. squealing when you go faster usually means theres a slippidge to a belt, try that dressing and let me know what happens

I'm going to caution against using belt dressing. It's like having headaches every day and taking aspirin for it - it masks the symptoms without addressing the cause. It makes for a sticky mess on the pulleys and has been known to get inside the pulley bearings and dissolve the lubricant. Just a thought. Have you removed the belt and rotated each pulley to see if you can locate the one(s) making the noise? Look at each pulley and see if they are rotating in a flat plane or if there is a wobble to any of them.

Make sure that the power steering pulley is pressed onto the pump all the way. The shaft on the pump should be flush on the outside of the pulley. If that is OK, then try a GM belt. I have had a couple that could only be fixed by putting a factory belt on it, and have seen others where the PS pulley was not pressed on all the way. HTH
