stuck in 4 wheel drive
I have a 01 blazer and my service 4 wheel drive light always comes on about 5 miles into the drive. Now the problem has went to a new level I belive my truck is stuckin 4 wheel drive. At low speeds when you turn it skips.Is there a way to disable the 4x4 until I get my truck fixed? Please help

Take the battery and the battery try out. You will then see the actuator for the front diff. It has a vacuum hose on it you can disconnect (don't forget to plug the hose). If this helps your 4wd light problem, the vacuum switch on your transfer case might be bad (very common problem on these vehicles). If it does not help, it may be the motor that engages the transfer case.

try putting it into low then switching back to high then back to 2

I had the same problem with mine; took it into the dealership and they just pulled out the actuator, cleaned it out and put it back in,and it has worked fine for 2 years now
