Default stuck caliper?

hello to all..

today i was changing some tires between my two blazers...
and i discovered that the blazer 4x4 2001 zr2 , are really hard to turn the disk brake..

the left side is a little more difficult. but my general question is..

the disk brakes on a 4x4 are that hard to turn with the hand??? note: with no tire.

or easy with one hand??
or maybe i have bad calipers?

thank you...

They shouldnt take alot of force to get it to turn. Sounds like you have a sticking caliper.

just to be shure.. i take off the rear tire and try to turn the disc.. well.. consider that the rear are attached to the differential and all the stuff.. was less difficult to turn .

the front left are more difficult to turn and the right almost the same but lighter..
so, if i need to replace these calipers...
a regular caliper from a 2001 blazer non Zr2 will fit??
that's my fear!!

thank you man

Are they heating up or pulling to one side when you drive? Are you sure the front diff is not engaged? They should be easy to turn and if there dragging they should be getting hot.
