Default stuck key and shifting issues

Got a 97 blazer 4x4 with floor shifter. I am getting multiple codes P0740 among others and the key will not turn all the way back to release. When driving it will not go into 1st or overdrive. Reading a bunch of posts I see alot of similiar problems. It did have a defective ignition switch harness (pink wire on C5 of the connector had no power) that I replaced with one from a salvage yard. Couldn't really see spending the 100 for one when I could get one for 10. Now I'm thinking this harness is defective but I would love to see a schematic for the parking solenoid but I cannot seem to find one. Any help would be appreciated.

Just got done fixing the problem. Troubleshot and found 0 volts on the transmission fuse. Should be hot in run position on the ignition switch. Gained access and replaced the ignition harness again. This time with a new one. Didn't really want to spend the $115 for one but didn't want to replace it again either. It fixed the shifting issues, fixed the issue of not being able to turn the key all the way off. Check engine light cleared itself. By the way went to the library and used alldata for schematics.

Possibly the park interlock? Sounds like a wire or one of the pins in the connector might be broken. Only way to check is to find which wire is causing the issues (I don't have a schematic in front of me) and fix it.

If I remember correctly. On my 97 the park interlock is controlled through the Brake fuse. I had a short at my trailer plug wires that were stock with the tow package.
