Default sunroof won't close

Alright this has most likely been talked about before so by all means point me in the right direction if this is a repeat thread. im going to try to explain this the best i can so bear with me... basically i ruled out a fuse immediately because i can here the sunroof trying to do something when i hit the button...it looks to me what happened was when it opened, it dragged the cover in with it too far and now it can't close because of that, i'm not sure if thats possible but looking in there i can see the sunroof cover and the sunroof and it doesn't look right to me...if this is the case, how do i fix it and get it to close again? thanks guys

EDIT: I don't think it's stuck on the sunroof cover anymore, now it closes about an inch or 2 and then quits, and when i open it again from there it makes sort of a clicking noise i'm not sure what that is any advice? thanks guys

I have a sunroof as well and have been advised on this web to keep the plastic tracks lubed-I have used dialectric grease with good results:ie no failure when noises and erratic operation occurred. But from your description it sounds like a de-rail.Search this site;I have seen this addressed here. Let us know what you find.

here's where i stand as of now, i got the sunroof closed, i held the button in the open position and let it make the clicking noise, did that a few times and eventually it closed all the way. now my question is, is it wise to keep using it or is this something i should get looked at?
