Default Tccm question

i have a 99 jimmy 4.3 with the 4 button 4x4 switch, i need a new tccm mine is all burnt inside. I have seen several available for the 4 button system but the part numbers don't match. Do I need the numbers to match or will it work as long as it came from a 4 button system?

Did you search for threads that discuss these part numbers?

I'd look at the part numbers for a TCCM at a place that sells OE parts like https://www.gmpartsxperts.com/. You often can find the old and updated part numbers for a part.

What do You actually mean by "burned"? LEDs shouldn't burn. Not all together. They're a long lasting sources of light. Neither push button switches. How does that happen?

The buttons on the dash are not the things that burned up, it was the transfer case control module on the passenger sids footwell. The printed circuit board is all charred.

This is the part number I purchased when I replaced the TCCM in my 1999 Blazer that has the 4-button transfer case: 12577412. I can't find my notes but I seem to remember that this was considered a more robust version of the TCCM. I found it on eBay as NOS for $60.

Thanks for the suggestions, the part number you mentioned is the same one as the gmc parts place you suggested. Found one on eBay should be here in a couple days. Thanks.
