Loose track rod to tie rod. If I wiggle the tire back and forth (one hand on the left and the other on the right) I get a little play. While I was wiggling I was looking at where the play was and it was coming from where the Tie rod is bolted to the track rod. *It hasn't given me any problems other that when I drive down the road I notice that I can turn the wheel just a tiny bit and it will stay straight. It isn't coming from the ball joint, that is fine. Is there a way to tighten the bolt, or does it even need to be tightened? And if so how do I tighten it? I know that one end has a bolt and the other end I cant see it. What are the sizes for those?

 

if the actual shaft with the nut on it is wiggling around inside the hole its through then you can tighten it, its possible it came loose but doubtful as they usually have coter pins in there. but if the play is in the actual ball joint then nothing you can do but replace it
