Default tired old blazer

1999 4 door 4x4.she has 188,000 miles now, and i believe the fuel pump just crapped out.(finally) it has never been replaced. i read another short thread about fuel pump replacement, and was wondering if anyone has done it and if it is difficult. I do NOT hear the "whining noise" when i turn the key forward. Anyone know where I can get a fuel pump for a descent price?350 is the cheapest so far.Any help or advice with this problem will be appreciated. I love the site you have here. and I love my Blaze too.I'll drive her into the ground

I got mine of E-Bay from a Global, $97 with freight, this also included a new gauge sending unit.
Hardest thing about changing the pump was unconnecting the tricky push on fittings at the pump.
There is not enoungh slack to drop the tank very far to figure them out and execute the removal.
I cut the old pumps plastic nipples off with a pair of side cutters, got the tank down and then figured out the fittings and removed the nipples.
I think the two outside hoses may be capable of being mixed so be careful. If you cut the nipples be sure to leave some sticing out of the fittings.

What year is your truck? 97 bucks is a steal!!I'll look on ebay. I beleive there may be a fuel line disconnect tool specifically made for those fittings at the fuel pump. How hard was it actually dropping the tank?Three bolts holding it up, two fuel ines, and an electrical connector? How long did it take you?
