Tranny delays at shifting to reverse
Hi, guys!
I have 2000 LS Blazer 4*4 4.3L 4 doors 154k miles.
I noticing delay when shifting in to the reverse gear( any time, cold or hot).
It's like 2 sec.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.
P.S. Tranny has 50k after rebuild, the fluid changed 20k ago.

i was reading around about this once and remember something about it being the reverse piston having a little bleed hole in it. over time your clutch pack wears and causes more volume to be filled thus taking a little long for it to shift. Nothing you can do but live with it. I dont think its a big problem, just another high miles thing you have to deal with.
edit, upon a lil more googling it could be a leaky accumulator seal. If i were you id try some lucas trans additive. its pretty good stuff.

Here is my 2 cents. Change the fluid and filter, that can do wonders for your tranny. I had my done at 50K and the filter was pretty dirty, fluid look kinda alright, but I went ahead and had it done anyhow. Going to do it again at 106K. Once them filters get all clog up its goodbye tranny....end of my 2 cents.

Hi!
I just checked the tranny's fluid-looks little high. Do you think it may be a problem? How may I take it out?
thank you
P.S. transmission has been rebuilt at around 105K miles. Now I have 153K. Time to replace fluid?
