4wd Vacuum Solenoid. Electric Vacuum Switch. And probably many more names. The parts stores do not have this component for the most part. The only place I have seen it is the dealer.

do you think this will fix my 4x4 issue. I all ready replace the part under the battery tray and the light still just blinks repeadely after pushing but it doesnt go back to 2 just blinks. After i bought the new part under the battery tray i heard a hissing coming from this part i mentioned. I hope this fixes the problem. Thanks

You can test that part very easily. It is just a solenoid valve. It should be normally sealed and open up when +12V is applied. If you heard hissing, is the part cracked anywhere?

As far as your blinking light problem, I will respond to the other thread you have on the subject. There are a lot of 4wd threads floating around right now. I really wish I had time to consolidate all of the information I have typed out numerous times into a single DIY post, but...

the hissing is coming from the top of the part there is like a breather hole amd if i put my thumb over it the acutator under the battery tray hold pressure, So i was thinking it was a vacuum issue not an electrial issue. the vacuum hoses are good.
