urgent: 2001 blazer problems. (fueling)
ok heres a brief breakdown: did a motor swap on a blazer due to blown motor, the car is not getting fuel for some reason....when we bought the new motor it was off a 2000 gmc jimmy (same motor, 4.3 v6 vortec) . we did not however receive the PCM/computer that comes with that motor. now the car tries to turn over but will not stay on due to lack of fuel. i think its the computer because its off of a different car because when i pour gas into the throttle body it turns on and dies out as soon as it runs out of gas
any ideas?? does chevy reprogram PCM's ??? if not do u know where i can get this reprogrammed with the new VIN?!?

Check that your wires are connected to all the sensors, like the oil pressure sensor.
Do you hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds when you turn the key on before you crank it over?

The PCM does not care that the motor is out of a 2000. I do not believe that they changed anything (sensor wise) between 2000 & 2001.
I would verify that you are getting power to the fuel pump. You should be able to pull the fuel pump relay and jumper it as a check to see if you can start it then.

Here's my 2 cents worth related to fuel pump power: My Haynes manual makes reference to a connector on the drivers side of the engine compartment (its a single RED wire with a spade connector) that runs directly to the fuel pump. You can apply 12 V direct to the fuel pump to check if your pump actually works. I searched my engine compartment and actually found the little bugger near where the vacuum ball resides for the cruise control. When I changed my fuel pump I had to drain the fuel tank first (Of course I had just filled the tank a few days earlier), so I put my thinking cap on and used the fuel pump (weak as it was) to drain the tank. I disconnected the main fuel line from the pump, put a long piece of vacuum tubing on the pump connector, put the end of the hose into a 5 gallon bucket and hooked 12V directly to the connector in the engine compartment. The pump fired up and pumped all the gas out of the tank (15 gallons worth). FYI: You cannot use a siphon on a Blazer. There is a ball check in the filler tube which prevents a siphon from getting in to the tank (discovered this when I disconnected the filler pipe from the rubber tank coupling and wondered why there was a little green ball in the end of the filler tube).
