I'm looking for a 95-97 Overhead display wiring diagram. I'm upgrading my DIC to the one with the trip computer built in. I need the schematic to corelate the wires. I have the one for the standard console. Also the one I have has an extra harness on the top of it. Does anyone know what that one is wired into? Thanks in advance.. This is about to drive me to drink.

Update: After looking on here for an hour or so I found them. They were in an old thread. After looking it over I discovered I am missing a piece of my new trip computer. So it's back to the salvage yard tommorow and get the missing piece.

This DIC has a remote compass that goes to it. I have it all wired correctly but it needs that compass or it just works for about 20 sec then does the famous "--" where the temp display is supposed to be. I snagged this one out of a 97 Bravada.


If anyone is interested here is the wiring diagram for the 95-97 Blazers. This maybe slightly different for the later models.

Compass/Temp w/o Trip function

Yellow - Key on 12v
Black - Ground
Light Green/ Black tracer Ambient air temp sensor At about 70 deg I have almost 10K ohms resistance. Just for a point of reference.
Dark Green VSS
Brown Goes to the dimmer switch that adjusts the brightness.
Gray Goes to headlight switch so the display will dim when the lights are on.


Compass/Temp w/ Trip function

Orange 12v always hot. I put mine in the orange wire to the lights. This keeps the memory alive.
Yellow Key on 12v This turns the display on when the key is in the run position.
Black Ground
Light Green/ Black tracer Ambient air temp sensor
Dark Green VSS

Purple Goes to the DLC/OBD2 port purple on that one too. Pin 2
