I have been trying to remove the regulator on my drivers side front door without any luck. The Haynes manual says to drill the rivets out of the four spots on the regulator then remove the regulator from the glass sash but I can't get it out of the sash or guide track? It says to do this with the glass Up. In the window removal section it says you have to have the glass down to get it of the tracks? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Well as I recall both are correct. If I remember right you have to roll the window down to remove the fuzzy gasket from the window track (around the outsides of the window) then when you roll the window up, you can move the window and regulator around enough to free the regulator from the track. Hope this helps.
