My Fiance' put in a new stereo deck in our Blazer and now there are a few things that are not working and we dont know why. First he didnt use the wiring harness, he just hard wired into the existing stereo wires. Not that he did that my dash lights dont work and our amp is not working. We could use any help that anyone has. Please let me know what I should do.

 

You didnt mention what year your blazer is but in the newer blazers if you dont buy the new wiring harness then when you wire your new head unit into the factory wiring it shorts out certain things and can even set your air bags off while your under normal driving conditions, its very dangerous. If i were you id unhook the head unit wiring from the factory wiring and wire it all back to normal and then buy the $80 wiring harness and save your self alot of trouble. Good luck. p.s. My blazer is a 2004 model and i needed to but the harness and iv had no problems at all.
