Default 00 blazer intake manifold gasket repair

2000 blazer with a bad intake manifold gasket. going to get it rapaired but another mechanic told me that after you replace the gasket and when you tighten the manifold back down it pulls the bottom of the engine up and the crank bearings come out of it. he also said that after the repair you'll hear a slight pecking noise that will later turn into a loud pecking noise and then the engine locks up. i was just wandering if this is a common problem or if anyone has heard of this happening.

You need another mechanic. That person is pulling your leg, big time.

I hope they didn't tell you that yon need to change the turn signal fluid also??

That is all %100 BS.
It sounds like the mechanic that you have is just trying to milk you for a whole lot of $$$
You should drop him. Preferably off a high cliff.
