1995 blazer 4.3 vortec Torsion Bar Mount Replacement

Does anyone have a guide or video showing how to replace the torsion bar mounts? I hit a big pot hole and my driver side torsion bar mount bolt on the frame got bent up and now the torsion bar clunks going over bumps

I remember watching a video on YouTube of someone changing their torsion keys. They removed the torsion bar mount to change them. Maybe check there. I'll see if I can find it and post it.

I have just replaced these as part of a Lower Control Arm Bushing replacement. The Torsion Bars need to be unloaded with a special tool then the T-Bolts need to be removed while counting the turns of the ratchet because to reestablish ride height you'll need to be put them back.

It is a high pucker factor job and you must respect the Torsion Bars because if you don't unload them they will push the cross member down with force.

Please be absolutely sure you know what you're doing and what the risks are as I would expect this to be an easy job for a shop.

If I over explained this I apologize but I would rather warn you than leave out something

The torsion rod tool is available on ebay....not very expensive...just do a search for it.
