Yup, bakes everything inside... nasty atmosphere. Plastic parts don't last forever in there, they dry out and crack. Fuel lines, wires, connectors, etc. Look it over and see if you can find something that doesn't look right. A good visual inspection and some common sense goes a long way here. While the plenum is off, you can cycle the ignition a few times and check for fuel leaks too.

 

Okay well I took the tuning valve off and I was able to put my finger down onto the injector connector and wiggle it around and put the tuning valve back in place temporarily and started right up just fine so apparently that connector is not good. I've experienced loose connections on a TBI before so I know what to do to get it to make a good connection that way I don't have to pull off the intake. That is if I can manipulate it through the tuning valve hole and lightly crimp the female pins on it for a tighter connection. I know eventually I will have to pull off the intake and probably get a new harness for it but I'm just trying to not have to do this at this time. If I can't tighten the connector pins up through that hole, Hopefully just wiggling the connection will let it run for at least a period time before I have to pull the valve out again and wiggle it again. It's just so damn cold here I don't want to have to have my Blazer disassembled if I don't need to I will wait for warmer weather to make a more permanent fix to it. Needs to be soldered on, not crimp connectors.

 

Thanks man! I'm a wiring harness builder I do custom wiring harness for engine conversions so I have a butt load of those laying about! Anyhow I took a pair of needle nose and unclip the connector and I squirted it with carb cleaner, then I removed that damn rubber it's running fine now so but I will be replacing the connector for sure in the near future.
