finding the missing prong is a good thing. Most people would have missed it. Temporarily jumper the high side switch and see if it comes on.
Good Luck!

It does come on that's why we think there may be a wire loose. I will let ya know when we figure it out.

Sorry just woke up. We jumped the clutch not the switch. We will try that tomorrow. Enjoy the 4th.

Try the relays. Had the same thing happen to me, in addition to the blower motor not working on high. Both were the relay switches. With a voltage meter, power was going to relay but not to compressor clutch or pressure switch. Changed out the relay and now works perfect. I have been told, that you can tell if the high pressure switch is working if when you turn on the a/c the clutch will spin for a few seconds then it will stop for a breif moment and turn back on. It seems that this is true as mine did not work when power wasnt going to pressure switch and now that power has resumed it does it every time the a/c is switched on, just as it used to before. Hope this is of some help. If not good luck.

Both the high pressure switch and low pressure switch can cause the compressor to cycle. BUT generally speaking the low pressure switch is the one that causes rapid cycling. The high pressure switch should actually NEVER be activated. It is a safety switch.
It sounds like they are pretty close to getting it solved. Unfortunately if they replace the high side switch they are going to blow the charge. That stinks.

Guess its summer, my AC's trippin out to. lLast week filled to 40 psi with r134a, running on max while filling, clutch working, freezing cold inside - 15 min solid. Now works for a few minutes then goes hot, or starts hot period. Is there a sticky on AC diag, testing hi/low switches, pressure specs..suspect I have leak or failing switch or both...anyone used the uv leak detection kits?

Sure is! It's in the tech section.
