1996 blazer gas leek
ok i have a 1996 4 dr s-10 4x4 that had a bad fuel pump. i replaced the fuel sending unit/pump myself and while i was dropping the fuel tank i broke the "roll-over vent valve" (replaced with one i got from chevy dealership) but every time i go to fill up on gas it leaks from around the area of the new vent valve. so i'm wondering if i just installed it wrong or do i / should i put some silicone or liquid gasket around it to seal it better.
also im not sure if i hooked up the lined all right to the sending unit i know the fuel feed is right but not sure if the evap and return lines are in the correct spot. any help here is really appreciated. |

Yeah silicone is always good when installing a gasket. Blue RTV would prolly work the best.
You can find a wide variety of silicones and gasket sealers at your local AutoZone. Sorry, just had to do that ;) As Patrick says, I'm the AZ spokesman, lol. |
RE: 1996 blazer gas leek
