Three more! Notice the rubber strap w/hook in the housing at the top in some of the photos. This was very helpful to get enough room to pull evap out. Don't forget the little clamp in front about halfway down or so. Clean out any crap that might have made its way down in the housing while you have it out. Wash the screen mesh with some hot soapy water.

Thank you for posting the pics!

Was there much debris in there or the screen clogged?

Actually, I found absolutely no debris in the truck I was working on (Dad's truck). YMMV. As you can imagine, it's sealed up pretty good in there. Screen wasn't too dirty either. I could still see light through it.

I used some foam pipe insulation for the re-install. Cut the insulation so that it lays down in the bottom and kinda cradles the coil. You may have to press the coil down into it. Stuff another piece back behind and cradle one on top. Of course, the idea is to eliminate any path for airflow except through the coil.

One last thing, I wish I had spent the extra 20 bucks on a variable orifice tube. I used one in my buddy's C1500 and it seems to make a difference while sitting at idle. Ted
