1998 s10 blazer 4.3 waterpump help
 

i am changing my waterpump in the next day or so,but i am wondering if there are any special tools required.if special tools are required does anyone know any work arounds(tools that can be used in place of special tools) that could help me out.i live in a small town so getting special stuff is tough.i have alot of tools,so im hopeing i can make something work,if need be.

no special tools other than a wrench to fit on the fan nut.
I used a large adjustable and smacked it a few times with a rubber mallet to pop it loose.

Ravenhurst posted really helpful details and pictures on how to change a waterpump.
I'm not a mechanic but was able to do my in about 3 hours with his instructions.
