1999LS Keyless died

This morning my keyless entry fob quit working. When I got home, I tried the spare, and it wouldn't work either. Tried resync, no luck. Tried the programming mode, and the locks cycle when entering programming, but still no response to the remotes.

I pulled both remotes apart, checked batteries and cleaned the contacts.

Any thoughts? I'm guessing the problem is in the RKE module, since I doubt both remotes would die at the same time. Any good way to test it?

Just had the same thing with my truck.Try this, open key fob and remove
battery, then press the lock and unlock buttons together for a few seconds. This has the effect of clearing the memory in the fob, almost like booting your pc.Worth a try,it worked for me.

My truck just did this last week. Thought it was the fob but checked it out at autozone and it worked. Lokking around to find out how to re-learn my fob and found this thread. Tried the reboot on the fob and it works! Thanks vett!

I kinda have the same problem my remote only unlocks the driver door and the back glass. It wont lock anything. I even ordered a new remote and same thing.
