Default 2 questions.

First question: so i replaced the plugs, wires, cap and rotor with all AC Delco, put in a high flow cat and my truck still shudders a little when i step on the gas from a start. so i still have to clean the MAF and see if that helps but if that doesn't help im stumped. any thoughts? thanks in advance.

Second Question: my front right CV joint has alot of oil or grease coming off of it is it normal? the left one has no grease coming out of at all. i dont know what could be leaking. heres a pic, a little hard to see but you can see that its all black and oil covered.

Have you worked through the 96+ Fuel System Diagnosis?

i had my fuel pressure tested a while ago before this was happening and it was fine, i should probably do it again. but i thought if your pressure was off it would cause other problems through out acceleration and not just a slight shudder when first accelerating, or can it cause both?
thank you for the reply

Maybe a small piece of carbon stuck in the EGR??? I don't know much about the 97 because I have a 95.

bugs: i cleaned my EGR about a month ago, im trying to remember now if this started happening befor or after i cleaned it. i do remember i was having problems with it sticking when i was cleaning it. i should probably go check it again

2002xtreme: i replaced the fuel filter about 5-8k ago. i wouldnt think it was that but i suppose it could be, if i sucked some crap off the bottom of the tank.

Thanks for the replies! i got more to look into now.
------------------------------------------------ EDIT --------------------------------------------------------
redneck: i kinda thought it was a seal :/ did you fix yours yourself? or did you have someone else do it?

thank god.. i found my hesitation problem. the tube that attaches to the middle of the air intake (right before the plenum) was disconnected. im not exactly sure what its for but it was off. there is still a very small hesitation so i think i have a small vacuum leak somewhere. im pretty sure i heard one around the distributor area but ill look for it some other time. thanks all for the replies
