2000 Blazer 2wd-Access fuel pump thru cabin
I have 2000 Blazer 2wd and need to replace fuel pump.
I would like to do it by cutting a hole in the floor. Can somebody provide a link to a write up on how to to it for this particular model? thanks |

I've seen a thread somewhere about this. Not sure if it was on here. The guy cut a 1'x1' square, and put hinges on it. When the carpet is down, you couldn't tell.
But really, it's a lot easier to just drop the tank. Pump all the gas out, first. That is, if the pump works at all. And if you go back in with a Delco or Delphi, you shouldn't be dropping the tank again for another 100k or so miles. |
Cutting the floor may lead to cut wires and lines. Someone on here did do it though. Just search hole in floor. Dont remember who did it.
^^^^ they are right dropping tank is not that bad. |
When you drop the tank remove the leaf spring bolt and put it in backwards. With the nut on the other side the bolt will come out without fowling at the tank.

I am glad I cut the 1x1 square, i will never look back on doing that. much easier than dealing with rusty bolts, and dropping what potentially could be a full tank.
