2000 blazer with annoying miss
 

I just bought a 2000 Blazer. It had a small miss when I bought it. I assumed it just needed a tune up, as there were no codes showing and it wasn't affecting the power much. It kinda of feels like it isn't getting enough fuel at certain RPMs, but the miss is there most of the time. It's not a "hard" miss. You can just feel like a "bump bump" when going down the road. And yes bump bump is a technical term LOL. I have been driving the S10 model vehicles for 12 years or so, but this is the first Vortech I have owned. I though maybe someone here could give me a hand. Oh and I did the tune up... BTW how the hell do you get to the spark plug behind the steering shaft?

There are as many ways to get to plug #3 as shrimp recipes. In the google box on the BF home page just put in "plug #3". For your "bump bump" start with the fuel system diagnosis in the diy.
Most likley, fuel pump, spider or filter. Some of these will throw a p0300 SOME WILL NOT.

Did you replace the cap and rotor or just the plugs? Also, you should be using ac delco or delphi, these trucks are very picky when it comes to ignition or electronic parts.

I betcha its the "Mass Air Flow Sensor"! Needs to be cleaned. A good test for this is to unplug it and see if it goes away. You will see the difference immediately. Your check engine light will come on if it's unplugged after about 2 miles or so, but all you have to do is fix and plug it back in. Problem solved.
