Boy is that middle spark plug on the drivers side hard to get out!
Any tips? Also, where is the pvc valve and fuel filter located on the truck? |
The lack of oil might be great enough to cause the hydraulic lifters to malfunction, causing a misfire. Change the oil, plugs, and possibly the knock sensors. Even so, if enough raw fuel entered the catalytic converter, if could be some time before it is all burned off and you are able to run at full steam. If the misfire has gone untreated long enough, the cat may be nothing more than a paperweight at this point.

Fuel filter is on the inside of the frame rail beneath the drivers door. PVC valve in in the drivers valve cover. It's hidden under the air intake hose.

Well did full tune up, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, pcv valve, and to no avail.
Still shakes and shutters. Guess its time for a professional to look at it, Ive done as much as I can. I will let you all know what was wrong. |
5/8 plug socket with a hex 5/8 so you can use a open end wrench on for
the plug that is impossible to get out |
take distributor cap off again lift up on rotor and see if there is any lateral movement on the shaft...there shouldn't be any...if there is buy new distributor make sure it is an exact match gear and all
