95 Blazer drivers power seat?
 

Checked the fuse, but no luck. None of the power buttons function on the seat. Anyplace where I should look first, or could it be a burnt out seat motor? Is there one or two motors in the power seat? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check for pinched or broken wires. If all looks good check with a test light to see if its getting power.

good luck, i checked everywire all good shape no blown fuses.... i dont care bout the heated seats, but it would be nice to move my seat back some 96 LT

Do you have power to the seat motor, if so and it no work then you need new motor.

Blazers have lots of switch problems, so it is just as likely to be a switch as amotor. Nevertheless, this is trouble-shot by using a volmeter or test light. You can start at the motor, and probe it to see if it is getting power when the button is pushed. Disconnect the connector, and stick the test probes into the connector to test for power. An ohmmeter should be adequate to test continuity in the motor. If the motor has no continuity, sometimes it is commutator corrosion, and you can repair that by removing the motor and spinning the shaft to burnish the commutator. Otherwise the brushes may be worn out. Generally, replacement is best in that case.

Change any fuse associated with ckt. Dont stare and hope. You'd be amazed how many are blown that dont look it, or not making a good connection due to corrosion. Just do it; install new fuses. The voltmeter is needed at switch. One side has to be hot. If nothing is hot power wire is open if fuse is good. Might help to check all fuses. A bad ground at seat or engine compartment relay may also be a problem. Yes a relay exists in the engine compartment. The best way is to leave everything OFF and try it. With complete silence you can hear the slightest noises. Do you hear anything under seat at all? Do you hear relay click under hood??
