95 blazer stalls/surges

Hi, I'm new to the forum. Just recently purchased a 95 4wd blazer. cpi. auto. Got it cheap because when i start it, it wants to die, the rpms will rev up and drop down. Then eventually it will idle at around 2500 rpms. Sometimes after it has been warmed up it will run fine. Once it threw a code PO441-an evap code. But once I cleared it it never came back. I pulled the egr off, and it was stuck open with carbon. I cleaned it out and put it back on, and it ran fine the rest of the day. But next morning it was running like crap again. I took it off again and it looked fine. Sometimes when it's running bad I hear a clicking noise from the glove box area. I know there are some relays in there, but I don't know which ones they are specifically. Other than the evap code, no other codes have came up. I'm wondering if there's something wrong with the computer. Thanks for any help in advance.

RE: 95 blazer stalls/surges

One of the relays in the glove box is the fuel pump relay. It is the one in the center. My 1995 has two with the third (farthest right) without a relay. I am not sure at the moment what the first one is.
With the age of the truck and not knowing the mileage it could be many things. First off I would check into the plenum to see if the cpi is spraying fuel all over the place in there. There is an easy DIY here showing exactly how to check it out. Good luck.

turns out it was the tps connector. the tps sensor had been replaced, but i noticed the voltages were still jumping around at idle. i unplugged the connector, cleaned the connections and plugged it backin. has ran fine for two days now.
