97 Blazer Black bracket

Hi folks, been scanning the site for years for guidance, this time I have a bonehead question. I'm helping a friend put his 4.3 back together after 2 months, and a new left cyl head. We have a spare part......... a black bracket kinda, decent size, maybe 6=8 inches and maybe 3=4 inches wide with a bend in it and one hole for a bolt in one corner. We've got the head on and intake on, didn't want to go any further and have to re=re=do it. I'm thinking it bolts on to the exhaust manifold front most bolt, but was hoping to get confirmation or a better idea from someone who may be able to look at theirs. You help is appreciated!

A picture of the part in question might help, mine is a 97 but without knowing what it is I'm looking for might take a long time.

I have an educated guess: I believe there are lifting brackets on the left front and right rear of the engine. I don't recall if they bolt onto the head directly or through the intake manifold.

I believe it bolts where you are describing and it holds the spark plug wires. A pic would help tho.

from memory it kinda looks like the bracket that supports the upper radiator hose.

That's what I was thinking too.

thanks to everyone for your responsess! So, it would go on the side, bolted to the exhaust manifold? in the flat part of next to the a/c compressor?

Yeah, radiator hose support
